Let us introduce you to an organic Dahlia named Bashful since she may be too shy to say hello. 😀 This is one of many Dahlias we are trialing this year in a variety of beds and microclimates on our farm. Bashful was one that appealed to us online, but it is more beautiful than we imagined. Even this shot does not do it justice. We have used it in many of our bouquets recently and are looking forward to growing it in the future. We have much more about Dahlias to share with you later.

Our organic Pea, Lemon Basil, Nasturtium, Bulls Blood Beet and Scarlet Frills Mustard Microgreens are shown on top. Some of our sweet organic Petite Posies are on the bottom left. On the right is an order of organic Mara des Bois Strawberries, Green Garlic, Soy-free Blue Eggs and an organic seasonal floral bouquet that includes Buddleia, various Hydrangeas and Pincushions.

It was a beautiful morning to harvest, and the cool temperatures were perfect for transplanting on this day before the summer solstice. Note to self: Reread this post on those sweltering August days when we will be making good use of the cooler to lower our body temperatures. We may feel faint, but we will not be hallucinating about our wonderful spring. Pictured here: Jubilee Celebration David Austin Rose, Lark Ascending David Austin Roses, Lemon Bergamot, Grosso Lavender, Heaven Scent Sweet Peas and Dalmatian Foxgloves.
