Organic Lemon Balm Seedling
Lemon Balm is a subtly-flavored herb: more delicate than lemon verbena. Space plants 36″ apart and plant in a bed with four – six hours of sun. When flower spikes form, cut them off 6″ from the crown. Doing so will keep the plant’s lovely foliage lush and bushy. Once you allow it to flower, it will become a bee magnet, after which it will be time to cut the entire plant to the ground. This perennial will survive winter and be part of your garden for many years. Although it looks like mint, it is not, but it can be invasive nonetheless.
