Organic Rainbow Chard Seedling
Beta vulgaris subsp. cicla
Each pot includes one to three seedlings depending on the size of each.
These hardy greens have multicolored stems, bringing vibrant color to both the vegetable bed and plate. We grow it year round and pick the outer leaves so that more leaves can continue growing from the center of the plant.
Plant 12″ apart in a bed with six hours of sun. We like to harvest small to medium chard leaves when at least four or five stalks have grown. Although this green can be prepared in so many ways, we can’t think of a better way to eat this chard than raw in a salad. It has real zest to it.
