Organic Greek Oregano Seedling
Origanum vulgare hirtum
Plant Greek Oregano seedlings in a bed with six – eight hours of sun. Allow for 24″ between oregano plants. Trim the stems on young plants often to encourage new growth at the crown. Stems that lie on the soil will root. If you don’t like dirty oregano, which can be difficult to clean, pull up these stems and cut them. We also suggest rocks to create barriers to encourage vertical growth. Once a few flowers have turned brown, cut the entire plant to the ground. It will regrow from the crown. Oregano is a slow grower so if you intend to use a good amount, consider planting several seedlings.
